READING:
This week we are continuing our learning about predicting what will happen in a story by using the illustrations to help us. We are also illustrations can tell more than one story at a time and that they can help us interact with the story.
We are also working on rhyming words this week. Practice this skill at home by saying two words and having your child tell you if they are a rhyme or not.
WRITING:
We are going to focus this week on adding details to our personal narrative illustrations. This will include adding details to people and animals. We will also study how to show emotions in our illustrations to let our readers know how our characters are feeling.
MATH:
We are looking and circles and rectangles this week as well as reviewing triangles. Be sure to point out these shapes as you see them around you to reinforce their names.
We will also work on accurately counting how many objects are in different groups. Work on counting to 100 by ones and tens at home. We are getting better but still need some work.
